iMELI – Igt Red Supertuscan – Historical Vintages
Vintages available: 2008, 2009, 2010.

Aging: 18 months in barriques and 48 months in bottle
Alcohol: 14.5% vol.
Winemaker: Raffaello Viani, A Solatio Farm
With this Supertuscan the Azienda Agricola A Solatio pursues the goal of creating a wine that meets the quality criteria by seeking, precisely in the most difficult vintages, the contribution of aromas and softness that can make this Sangiovese easier to appreciate and, with its 10/20% of Sangiovese grapes, it contributes to confer the desired Tuscan identity.
The exposure of the vineyards is to the north, but the poor slope of the land means that the sunshine is still guaranteed throughout the day. Most of the secondary vines used for the creation of this red wine are located in an area of the property called “the apple trees” and hence the starting point to baptize the wine itself (i Meli = the apple trees in italian).
The vinification technique used is the fermentation in steel and maceration on the skins for 20/25 days at controlled temperature and with daily pumping over.
Great structure, intense aroma and deep color make it the ideal companion for demanding and rich flavored dishes.
We recommend opening well in advance in order not to lose the beautiful sensations that the Supertuscan iMeli can generously bestow.
